Why do woman want top be WAG’s?

Despite many of the WAG’s appearing splashed across the papers for all of the wrong reasons, many girl’s today still strive to become either the wife or girlfriend of a pro footballer.
So what is it that exactly attracts us to their status?  Is it the all-year round permatanned skin?  The hefty jewellery?  The seats at the front row of fashion week?  The footballer’s salary? The list goes on, however today’s WAG’s seem to be setting quite a different example to that of the past WAG’s!  All of these may seem enticing, they don’t however make us different!
Today’s WAG’s tend to be of a different breed, the wive’s and girlfriend’s of the footballers now have their own status to live up to and are no longer quite simply classed as so and so’s girlfriend or wife.
Take Abby Crouch for example, she’s not just the wife of Peter Crouch, she’s a professional model and presenter.  She makes her own money with her own skills.  This is the type of WAG we hope all you girls strive to be as appose to someone that solely relies on the status of their football playing husband.
Another example is Cheryl Cole.  She is world famous for her style, her role on X-Factor and also her recent solo act.  She is another that doesn’t quite simply use her husband’s status to get where she is today.  She in fact started singing for an infamous girl band well before she met Ashley Cole.
However despite both the above stories, dating a footballer, what ever we may say, does help to raise a status.  This isn’t the way it should be and for the record, we hope young girl’s such as the two described above, continue to use their own skills to excel.  As appose to relying on another anyway!
