How rich is Victoria Beckham?

Victoria Beckham may be dismissed by many as less talented than her superstar footballer husband David Beckham, but behind the big sunglasses lives a cute business brain.
As global power couple Posh and Becks, Victoria – and that footballer she’s married to that you may have heard of – were estimated in the Sunday Times Rich List 2010 as having a joint fortune of £145m, up 16% from the previous year.
Described variously as a singer-songwriter, dancer, fashion designer, author, actress, model and businesswoman, it was as part of pop group the Spice Girls that Beckham first started to earn serious cash.
Although their first single was called ‘Wannabe’, the girls had no problem simply being right from the start.
They racked up more than 55m album sales worldwide from the mid 1990s, with their three studio albums producing nine number 1 UK singles alone.
However, while her recording career may not have hit the same heights, Beckham’s personal income stream continued during the break in the band.
A solo career spawned a number 2 hit with Out of your Mind and the Top 10 album Victoria Beckham, and two books (the autobiography Learn to Fly and the fashion advice guide That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything In Between) sold around 1m copies.
After designing a collection for high end denim brand Rock & Republic, she has launched her own fashion label, dVb, which makes dresses, quality denim and sunglasses.
As well as gaining a number of high profile and celebrity fans, her dVb dresses are stocked in outlets including Selfridges and Harrods, with her Graphic lace dress retailing for £3,887 on fashion website net-a-porter.com.
The recent announcement that she is set to feature on the cover of German Vogue – her fourth Vogue cover in total – only goes to highlight her influence, and therefore earning potential.
