Skirts For Winter

The weather may be getting colder, but some women would rather be a little colder than comfortable than cover up in trousers and jeans. For winter 2011, there are some great skirts available for work and more casual days if you just can’t bear the thought of not showing your legs.

Full Skirt
This is a feminine and flowing style that can be worn with chunky sweaters for an ultra sophisticated glam look. Cinch in the waist with a belt and team with boots for warmth. Keep it mid-length, just below the knee or calf length is flattering for both work and relaxed days with the family.

Pencil Skirt
This style has made a huge comeback recently and the trend is continuing this winter. Available in a variety of materials and colours, there will be something that will suit everyone and the cut is very feminine, accentuating those curves without flashing too much flesh. Team with fitted jackets and heels and keep it knee length for a practical and up-to-date look.

Long Skirt
It doesn’t have to skim the floor, it will show off those fantastic boots and keep you a little warmer when it’s really cold. Calf length is very flattering and with the variety of colours and prints available, you will be bang on trend this winter. Team with a cropped jacket and long boots and add a scarf on cooler days.

Maxi Dress
A key style of summer, this is continuing into winter fashion and promises to be around for a while. Choose a bold colour to stand out for the crowd and keep accessories minimal for work although chunky necklaces and bracelets work well and add a touch of fun. Wear with killer heels for evening and a long scarf will add warmth and style.
