WAG’s are a cultural tribe in themselves and will always have a following of fashionistas! This is mainly because of their over the top and statement dress sense as well as their attitude to the fashion world.
WAG was a term first used to describe the wives and girlfriends of the sportsmen in an innocent manner, this innocent manner didn’t however last too long! The term WAG then became known as a label to describe someone that was shallow and consumerist as well as A-list obsessed!
Now however this term has been re-vamped once again. WAG’s are no longer simply the A-list obsessed wives and girlfriends; they are woman in their own right!
They don’t rely on the wages of their husbands and boyfriends; they instead make their own names for themselves. These names come in the shape of singer’s, models, clothes designers and perfume connoisseurs.
WAG’s are now a group of woman we look up to as appose to those that annoy and ridicule us. We buy into their designs, cavort their styles and wear their fragrances. WAG’s are the ones that have the latest designers and most sought after and renowned stylists on speed dial, with such an army behind them, how could they not look amazing 24/7! This is one the main reasons we choose to try and recreate their style. They are the ones wearing the latest designs fresh off the catwalks and they will therefore always remain stylish in our eyes!
